Advertisements have
proliferated throughout the Web as companies attempt to make a profit on
their content, often making some websites difficult to use. Thankfully,
you can block advertisements using the Mozilla Firefox Web browser with
the installation of a few extensions. Adblock Plus is the best known of
these extensions and with a few mouse clicks, you can subscribe to a
block filter that blocks virtually all advertisements. FlashBlock and
NoScript are two other extensions that go a step further, ensuring that
fly-over advertisements, pop-ups and other more customized
advertisements never appear without your permission. All of these
extensions provide a simple interface for white listing websites so that
you can support those websites that matter to you.
